Abstract

This collection of essays arose from the 2017 Luther Jubilee and aims to explain the issue of , largely by approaching it historically as a theme that exercised Lutherans (and others). The essays examine Luther himself and the issues at stake since the era of the Reformation with a special section for the Reformation Jubilees of each century. One cannot be sure that has been defended or defined but at least the book shows that it is still a theological principle to be reckoned with.
