Abstract

Samenvatting

In dit artikel wordt de effectiviteit van het Vitaal Vakmanschap-actieprogramma in de praktijk onderzocht. Het Vitaal Vakmanschap-actieprogramma is ontwikkeld om organisaties te ondersteunen bij het behouden en/of herstellen van de ‘fit’ tussen werknemers en het werk. Doel is het proces van mentaal pensioen bij werknemers te stoppen en/of om te keren. Zo draagt het programma eraan bij dat werknemers langer gezond en productief kunnen en ook willen doorwerken. In dit artikel toetsen we de effectiviteit van het bottom-up programma bij drie Nederlandse organisaties, namelijk de Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB), Doc-Direkt en de Nationale Politie. In totaal namen 1.035 werknemers deel aan het onderzoek. Bij de organisaties is zowel kwantitatieve als kwalitatieve informatie verzameld, middels een vragenlijst en een logboek. Uit de resultaten blijkt dat de deelnemers het programma als positief ervoeren. In zijn geheel ging het niveau van mentaal pensioen niet omlaag tussen de diagnosemeting en de effectmeting één jaar later. Wel bleek de daling in mentaal pensioen groter voor werknemers die actief deelnamen aan de interventie(s) in het programma dan werknemers die minder actief deelnamen. Dus, hoe actiever de deelname, hoe groter de effectiviteit van het programma. We sluiten af met geleerde lessen uit het onderzoek.
