oa Repertory Preferences of Visitors of Children's Theaters and the Choice of the Audience

The issues of the functioning of theaters in the modern world have been the subject of multiple researches, both theatrical and based on the analysis of statistical and sociological data. The present article focuses on describing the features of the state cultural policy of the Russian Federation aimed at children and young people, and analyzing the repertoire policy of youth theaters. The study has used the data from the sociological survey conducted by researchers of the State Institute for Art Studies in 2019 and the statistics for the period of 2015-2019. The article discusses the issues of the functioning of children's theaters, and analyzes not only the performances in the repertoire of the federal and regional youth theaters, but also the possibility of changing the repertoire.
