Abstract

Morden’s book is a biblical theology as well as a practical theology of discipleship. Four principles shape his book: 1) Focus on Jesus whom we are following, 2) Focus on the gospel which must continually be applied generously, 3) Focus on whole-life discipleship which transforms lives, and 4) Focus pastorally wise on the challenges of radical discipleship as well as the ‘discipleship deficit’ in today’s church. The text is rich in mining the Bible as well as interacting with other authors and contemporary life illustrations. The seventeen chapters can well be read separately. This very helpful book is a rich resource on discipleship.
