Abstract

Samenvatting

Dit artikel gaat over twee experimentele studies waarin wordt onderzocht hoe mitigerend taalgebruik in Nederlandstalige online hotelreacties beoordeeld wordt door potentiële hotelgasten. Hieruit blijkt dat mitigatie op het eerste gezicht eerder als een onopvallend fenomeen beschouwd kan worden, maar dat bepaalde mitigerende formuleringen negatiever worden beoordeeld dan andere inzake klantvriendelijkheid, professionaliteit en gepastheid.
