Abstract NL

Een integrale aanpak voor gezondheidsbevordering op het werk, met activiteiten gericht op zowel het individu als de organisatie, is veelbelovend voor het bevorderen van de leefstijl van medewerkers. Met subsidie van ZonMW hebben het RIVM en de Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen (HAN) een integrale aanpak voor gezondheidsbevordering op het werk (Lombardy Workplace Health Promotion Network, beoordeeld als Europese Good Practice), aangepast naar de Nederlandse werkcontext en geëvalueerd. Deze aangepaste integrale aanpak bestond uit een catalogus met activiteiten en een implementatieplan. In dit artikel worden diverse factoren die een rol spelen bij de implementatie van deze aangepaste integrale aanpak beschreven. Dit wordt gedaan op basis van de ervaringen van medewerkers, HR-professionals en leidinggevenden. Zo bleek het oprichten van een werkgroep met medewerkers, HR-professionals en leidinggevenden bevorderend voor een succesvolle implementatie. Ook een actieve rol c.q. ondersteuning van hoger management bleek van belang te zijn. Een gebrek aan tijd om deel te nemen aan activiteiten of om deze te implementeren, het ontbreken van beleid rondom gezondheidsbevordering en een organisatorische cultuur waarin aandacht voor leefstijl nog niet de standaard is, waren factoren die implementatie belemmerden. Ondanks de uitdagingen met de implementatie was de werkgroep enthousiast over de integrale aanpak, waarbij meer tijd en ander beleid essentieel lijken te zijn voor succesvolle implementatie.
